Student artists participating in JMArts’s Scene X Scene Acting Intensive provide a free showcase performance open to the community. The production features short acting exercises, monologues and scenes refined by 18 students during a series of after-school workshops held on Tuesday evenings, February 26 through April 30, from 6 to 8 p.m., and open by application to all Jordan-Matthews students. The workshop clinician and showcase director is Jessica Nunn, founder and director of The Phoenix Theatre Company. Refreshments will be served during a reception with the cast and creatives after the performance. This acting intensive is supported by the North Carolina Arts Council, a division of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, through the Chatham Arts Council.
