The West Chatham Marching Band — a joint ensemble featuring musicians from Jordan-Matthews and Chatham Central high schools — participates in the 2025 Cleveland Critique and Competition. The annual event at Cleveland High School in Clayton provides an opportunity for marching bands to receive artistic criticism from experienced judges and perform in a public competition sanctioned by the North Carolina Bandmasters Association.

Tickets to the afternoon competition are $15 and available at the gate. (Admission is free for children 5 and under.) Concessions will be sold. Twenty-four bands competed in last year’s event.
