Musicians throughout our area present their sixth-annual evening of “Music for the City” — a free concert for the entire West Chatham community featuring the Jordan-Matthews Concert Band and West Chatham Jazz Ensemble with student musicians from JM, Chatham Central High School, Chatham Middle School and Silk Hope School. (Musicians from Bennett and Bonlee schools may also perform.)

Tonight’s program has been designed to celebrate collaboration. Creating a strong musical culture and building strong instrumental ensembles can only be achieved when there’s a vibrant interaction among student musicians, band directors, parents and administrators.
